Jonathan Law was a resident of Cheshire, Connecticut, and the son of William Law, an early owner of land in the Western Reserve. The collection consists of a diary kept on a trip through the Western Reserve, including visits to Burton, Cleveland, Chillicothe, Painesville, Poland, and Warren, Ohio, and other cities between the Reserve and his home in Cheshire, Connecticut.
